Great stay. Would love to come back in cooler weather……not often an issue in England!
8.0We did not stay for the breakfast. There was a great pub with good food within walking distance. Lovely garden to sit out in, unfortunately it was too hot!
− Shower curtains needed replacing. Overall a good stay but we were there during the heatwave so the rooms were very hot, which we totally understand is out of there control.
A very enjoyable stay in a delightful setting
10.0Lovely welcome from the landlady when we arrived. Breakfast was offered (at £15pp extra) and was plentiful and nicely cooked - we chose to have the full English breakfast but a Continental breakfast was also a possibility - nothing seemed like too much trouble. The private bathroom (next to the room) was clean and well-provisioned, and the room had coffee-making facilities, inc. milk and cold, bottled water via a fridge downstairs. The location itself is a few metres away from a decent pub in a quiet village - a car or bike is a must for exploring the area!
