Room should’ve never been rented the way it was, extremely uncomfortable.

Views are beautiful, host were very nice.

− Air conditioner did not work, host attempted to bring in contractor to fix, but was unable to do so. At this point, a refund should’ve been offered. Host obtained a portable AC unit, but it did not provide enough air to properly cool the room, and it was very warm and sweaty at night. I did not like that we could not go back during the day to cool off after a long day in the sun. As much as I like the host, and I do not want to give a bad review, this room should’ve never been rented the way it was, it was very uncomfortable. We went to Prescott for my daughters softball tournament, and after playing all day in the sun, we wanted to go back to the room so she could cool off and take a nap between games, but we could not, so my daughter was not able to go back and rest like her other teammates did who had rented a conventional hotel room. I wish the host would’ve offered us a refund, so we could have rented a conventional room with AC. I wish I would’ve spoke up and asked for a refund, but I did not want to be mean. I was really hoping that the AC would be fixed. I know the host felt bad, but I still don’t know why they kept this room available knowing that the AC did not work. I wish I could give a better review, I was really excited to stay because the pictures looked amazing, but it was totally disappointing and the worst value I have ever gotten from a rental. Sorry!!

A Cut Above The Rest!

Brian and Letty were charming hosts and made us feel at home!

− My only real complaint is the door lock situation. There are two interior doors in the room which lead to the inside of the house. These are residential grade, hollow core doors and had only residential grade privacy locks (the kind everyone is familiar with at their home). I found this a little creepy and not very secure. Also, the arcadia door locked from the inside but not from the outside, so there was no way to secure our belongings if we went out. Guests must feel safe and know that their belongings are secure. These may not seem like a huge deal for some folks, but in my 30 years of working in the hospitality industry, I had never encountered this and I found it a bit disturbing. My only recommendation would be to install solid core doors with deadbolt locks on the two interior doors along with an arcadia door lock that locks from the outside. Aside from the lock situation, we were very comfortable and because of the quiet surroundings (we were the only guests) we were able to get a good night's rest. The views from this place are spectacular and we were very comfortable during our stay.

Nice room for rent inside a private home…

Comfortable and private room

− Not a nice villa to myself as was implied on this website when I booked and paid double the rate of similar Airbnb rooms I rented: you’re renting a room in a private older home - typical of many Airbnb homes I rented over the years, the owners live in the same home and they enjoy most of the home, kitchen and deck with views. Owner was nice and my room was good but the listing description did not state that this is not private hotel - I expected more.
