Location. Close to the Camelback Mountain

− The house is old and poorly maintained.There’s only an old unit heater for the whole house which is not enough. To avoid extreme cold, we were forced to keep the oven on while we were inside the house, which still did not solve the issue, as the heat only reached the kitchen. The living room and bedrooms remained freezing. The bathroom has no heating at all and was extremely cold. I contacted the property owner, who was monitoring the house temperature through an app, to report the situation and request the thermostat code, as it was locked at a maximum of 74°F and only she could adjust it. Her response was extremely dismissive: she questioned what “cold” meant to me and claimed the app showed 80°F, clearly doubting what I was reporting. I explained that this reading was only happening because the oven was on and the thermostat is located in the kitchen, but no solution was provided. The bed linens smelled dirty, and one of the comforters was visibly soiled with urine. Bath linens were insufficient: only one towel was provided for the entire stay. It snowed during our stay and no snow removal was done, making it dangerous to leave the property. If we had not had an SUV, we would not have been able to get out. The kitchen equipment was also in poor condition: • Old, burned pots and pans • Coffee maker was dirty upon arrival • Toaster was rusty and dirty Given all of the above, I do not recommend this property. The lack of maintenance, cleanliness, and proper support made the stay uncomfortable and unsafe.

Lovely old cabin near Camelback resort. Great location, just off the main road made it easy to access. Nestled in the woods for a lovely “in nature” feel. We enjoyed the grill and fire pit and it was lovely to have deer casually walk past us! The three bedrooms are small with only a small amount of room to walk round the bed and limited space to put your suitcase (no cupboards to unpack into). It was fine for two of us but may be a squeeze if you have four or more staying. It was reasonably clean (the ceiling fans could do with some dusting). The WiFi worked well. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment. We had a minor issue getting into the cabin when we arrived but this was quickly resolved by the owners. Had a lovely holiday and will happily re-book.
