Mooi net huisje met alle gemakken. De locatie lag perfect gelegen in een prachtige omgeving.

− Puntje van kritiek zijn de meubels in de woonkamer. Die moeten vervangen worden, ze zakken al door.

The village is in a stunning location. The local shop is very well provisioned and only a stones throw from the front door. You also have plenty of walk options ranging from easy strolls to harder climbs right on your doorstep. There's also a bar and grill within walking distance.

− The only thing we didn't like on this trip was the shower in the property. It was very slow and trickled out. And parking was a bit of a nightmare the first couple of days but the views and amenities more than make up for these things.

The property was quiet, light and bright, with lovely views over the meadow. The mezzanine level gave us lots of extra space and made the property feel very airy. It was clean and comfortable with no airs and graces. The village is beautiful with a great pub and a good local, well stocked shop. This was a perfect base for traveling around the Lakes.

− Not a lot we didn't like. If we were being picky, the mattress was very wobbly and soft, and there were a couple of cobwebs, but the views and location more than made up for any little niggles.

Fantastic location, well equipped kitchen

− Furniture was dropping to bits, stained carpets and tired decor. Could be rectified for very little cost and made lovely

A good week. Chapel stile is lovely and we enjoyed good walks.

Location of cottage lovely. Great to get brilliant wifi and freesat television .

− finding somewhere to Park not easy. Property has no form of heating other than storage radiators and an open fire. some form of convector heater would be better. The kitchen cupboards are so crammed full of utensils, e.g. 6 casserole dishes. and umpteen saucepans, There was no room to put the food we had bought Had to keep it on the floor in carrier bags.

House well-located, clean, tidy - very poor experience trying to locate house and key pickup spot.

Loved the location, ease of access to surrounding walks and closeness to the shop. The house itself had everything needed to make our stay in the Lakes as comfortable as possible. Plenty of places to sit around the house as well as interesting maps / pictures on the walls was a plus. Also enjoyed being able to watch the sheep outside the back window.

− I can't say anything good about our experience both collecting the keys and trying to find the house. Contradicting information via emails was an issue - we were supposedly able to check in from 15:00 onwards on the day of arrival, but then could only collect the keys from 17:00 on? Having travelled six hours to get to the Lakes, that wasn't well-received. The instructions for finding the keys were extremely vague and made worse by the fact that the name of the company/building we were looking for did not match the name actually on the building. This resulted in our spending twenty minutes walking up and down the village (Elterwater) before we found the office. The instructions to find the house itself were convoluted and the name of the house didn't match what was on the email either. Would be great if Wheelrights (yes, that's the name of their company / office) could rewrite the instruction email to facilitate guests being able to find the cottage location easier.
