Comfortable little cottage
8.0I love the location. Close enough to Grasmere, Ambleside etc but a little quieter and out of the way but very handy to have the coop and inn within walking distance Simple and everything I needed in regards to utensils Beds exceptionally comfortable!! Quirky layout to cottage which I loved 2 stoves (not used as stayed in June but would be lovely in colder weather. Unsure if any wood provided though) Leisure centre cards available to be borrowed which we didn’t make use of but very nice. We did walk around the grounds and it was stunning, restaurant and cafe looked lovely and staff were so friendly
− Kitchen space very limited. No cupboards to store food and minimal space on counters for food prep One of the chairs in living room could do with being replaced as stained on cushion Parking was on road, not allocated Road mostly quiet so I didn’t have any issues as only one car but I would guess could become a problem if more than one car or during high season (I stayed end of June) Carpets could do with thorough clean as cottage had a wet dog smell Black out blinds needed as Roman blinds meant the rooms were very bright overnight
