Disappointing accomodation

5.0

This property is in a good location close to the centre of Perranport and the beach.

It's with a heavy heart I report my dislikes for the property as haven't been this disappointed before with a holiday rental. The key code didn't arrive in time but this was sorted eventually and didn't become an issue it I think you should be aware of it. Entering the house now through the garden we were surprised to see the garden space hadn't been cleared of weeds which gave the impression of being a neglected. It has lots of weeds beyond looking a bit rustic. Some of which were tall . Your faux lawn has weeds growing along it . Not a nice welcoming impression to your holiday home for the week and am surprised that there was so little attention paid to this. The kitchen was ok and well equipped as was the lounge area as were first impressions of rest of the property. Unfortunately the beds were very uncomfortable and feel you would do well to invest in some good mattresses as they were all a bit thin saggy and tired . The bedding was clean to be fair. I would like to draw attention to the following issues. The kitchen door is so swollen it doesn't close. You have an outer porch door for security but if you managed to shut this kitchen door there is no way someone would open it again. There was a storage jar in the kitchen which had coffee so old in it had actually fossilised to the jar . We left this quite obvious for the cleaner. Having cleaned holiday accommodation I was not impressed at how long this had been ignored for as would be months. We didn't use the washing machine but you need to be aware that there was a pool of water sitting in the drum that hadn't drained. This will cause it to smell with time if it's not addressed.

Everything

The instructions need to be clearer for international travellers, such as.... It's one house split into 2 The visitors book inside needs updating, lots of attractions and restaurants are no longer available. I believe there is a contact number of someone who has passed away xx

We loved the comfortable, cosy feel. Great location and lovely outside space.

Nothing.

A good small getaway for group/family

8.0

The best thing was the location and how close it was to the beach, we sadly didn’t get the best weather but we made it work as we could. The house was spacious and plenty of room for a family or small group. There’s majority of the things you’d need already provided which is good. The little water running in front of the house is a nice little space to chill in the morning!

The place is not spotless clean so if you’re a clean freak this is not for you! There’s areas that could be better cleaned and changed to make the place more cleaner for guests such as bathroom window and shower curtain that looked like it was either dirt or mould at the bottom. Also as it’s pet friendly - we did find some waste left from previous guests’ pets around garden area which is not ideal but just another thing that might matter in general for cleanliness. Being a shared property with the hosts might put down others from staying due to noise and having little privacy in the house as everything can be heard.

Fab few days away in a beautiful part of the world! :)

Fab little place tucked away in a quiet area of Perranporth yet still so close to town. Dog and family friendly with enough space for us all. Perfect. Thank you :)
