10.0Great village location, nice and cool in the summer heat but also able to get some sun on the patio. Very clean and has all the facilities needed for a self catering break. Nice walks available from the door.

7.0Gorgeous little place, well decorated with everything you need for a short break. Comfortable furniture and outside seating which was lovely with the weather being nice
− The owner has dogs and I’m sure they’re perfectly friendly but one of them was jumping up the gate to swallow barn and growing at my dog, I have a very friendly Labrador who fortunately just backed off and came inside but it was a shame as i couldn’t relax with the door open as I was concerned in case the dog got to mine. Also a lot of cobwebs, I had to hoover above the bed as there were so many and lots of spiders.

Our stay was absolutely perfect.
10.0Excellent location. Swallow Barn was a lovely place to stay. We had everything we needed in the property and enjoyed sitting outside listening to the birds. There is an excellent pub in the village with a really good menu. Everyone we spoke to in the village were friendly. I would thoroughly recommend this property which is in such a convenient place for touring the area.
Would definitely recommend.
10.0Perfect staycation with our dog. Lots of walks, pub right up the road and a lovely walk to buxton- lots of pubs and a bus ride home. The annex was beautifully styled. Small enclosed garden attached too, handy for the dog.
