3.0The location was great only a 5 minute walk into the centre, and it was very warm.
− The property needs looking after, when we got there the shower was falling apart. You couldn't use it as it pointed at the wall, which meant you had to be leading on the wall for the water to hit you. It was also leaking into the cupboard behind, going all over the floor, carpet and hoover. I contacted bachcare straight away and they sent a plumber to fix it. The top double room has a fly infestation, we saw and dealt with over 10 big black flys. the next morning more just kept coming in from a small hole in the ceiling. There are a lot of condiments and food left out for you to use, however we checked the dates and everything but the salt was way past its sell by date. A lot of the stuff went out of date in 2012, 2017, 2018. This was very shocking and I hate to think how sick we would have been if we used any of this stuff. After noticing the food items, I noticed the fire extinguisher which is in the kitchen, I hope this is used as decoration because the can looks already open and has the date Nov 88!! I understand the property is old, but it really made us question how clean/safe this place is and made us very uncomfortable. Also the stairs to the property would not suit those that find it hard to walk, the steps were big and even the property manager mentioned them being difficult to use.
