Great stay at Dervio, Lake Como

Rather large house with 2 balconnies and one teracce and another outdoor area. Very friendly host. All facilities are present, but a bit outdated but functional. The house itself is comfortable and airy. Very close to the marina park and walking distance from town center and shops. Two bathrooms, one downstairs and one on the first floor.

− The parking below is only suited for a small car as the angle to get in is rather awkward. The area is a blue zone, which means no free parking. Stairs are rather narrow and steep. To the first floor is a stair-lift. Convenient when you need this, but stands in your way when you do not need it. No Wifi.

We were very happy with this townhouse and would return again in the future.

Communication with hosts was exceptional, they stayed in touch with us prior to our arrival, met us to show the property, and answered any questions we had. We especially loved eating outdoors on the front porch. One thing that is not obvious in the pictures, the stairway to the floors above is narrow (especially by USA standards) and there is a chair lift from the first to the second floor. A very larger person would have difficulty getting up the stairs. But we used the lift to get our heavy luggage up the stairs, a real plus. Convenient parking is available, another plus. The garden at the front entry adds to the ambiance. The neighborhood is very open and therefore easy to access. We stayed 3 nights while visiting friends in Dervio and had a delightful time.

− My only suggestion would be to provide a few more utensils in the kitchen such as large spoons, whisk, turner/spatula, sharp knives.
