Location perfect, I live in the area but needed somewhere local to stay whilst work was being done on my house. The area is absolutely beautiful (I moved here!), there are so many walks and activities and the people are super friendly. Sue and Neil are fantastic hosts and nothing is too much trouble! Have a look at the adjoining nursery too!

Lovely accommodation in country outside an interesting village

This accommodation is attached to the host's home but was very private. It is in the countryside close to Alston. The unit is roomy, bed comfortable and a good shower. Kitchen was well equipped and hosts readily gave any help needed.

Another quality weeks' stay at Barn End - the perfect stress relief. We will always love this place for its peacefulness and seclusion yet within walking distance to Alston centre. The hosts are just wonderful people who can't do enough to help.

Absolutely wonderful, comfy place to stay.

Everything! Fantastic place all round. The owners were on hand and nothing too much trouble. Warm, cosy and spacious property. Wonderful quiet location,comfy bed. Lovely bathroom with walk in shower. Fully equipped kitchen and a lovely conservatory to breakfast in whilst watching the birds. A lovely touch were the fresh flowers and biscuits to welcome us! Perfect place for us ❤️
