− We traveled 24hrs to get to Florida. We have been going to Florida for many years. The house was clean. There was a folder on the counter that had instructions for the stay. It seemed fine going through all the rules, until I came to the part that said no gatherings, no loud parties… It also states that the owner has spoken with the neighbors and if there are any parties (loudness) or a gatherings we could be asked to leave. We are on vacation, and we have family that lives in the area. We had them over, we were not loud at all! But what was loud and quite obnoxious was the party at the neighbors and the chicken farm in the backyard! The house definitely needs some TLC. Seems like some things are cobbed together. I understand the rules clearly, if you break it you fix it. But when things are already broken and just put back together to make it look like it’s fixed when it’s not, makes for a cobbled job, like the towel rack in the upstairs bathroom. We also pay a cleaning fee, which is fine! But in the folder the rules state you must clean for 1.5hrs before you leave. So why do we pay the fee? When we left, I made sure all kitchen was cleaned wiped down. I also cleaned mirrors, and bathrooms. And vacuumed as stated in rules. The rules also state, strip beds. So the night before we left I stripped one bed. Then received a message from the owner, that I didn’t have to strip beds. So the one I did, I left the sheets and pillow cases rolled up and put on the floor. The other two beds I didn’t not strip, per owners message. We left around 3am. I received a message from the owner stating that she was missing two pillow cases. Those pillow cases were in the rolled up sheets. I told her that, but she then sent me 3 more messages about the pillow cases. I couldn’t believe her. We didn’t take the pillow cases! She then sent a message that stated she had the pillow cases and would look again… that whole message contradicts itself! She was quite rude.
