Beautiful old villa in beautiful setting but felt corporate run and lacking simple facilities

Location and beautiful old villa

− Outdoor area unusable as cushions wet and covered in pine needles. Bathrooms lacked rubbish bins and table to put sponge bags on. Minimal furniture in bedrooms. Milk left in fridge past use by date. Firewood should be stacked next to fireplace. No matches, kindling etc to light fire if we had wanted to use. Lacking final touches.

Really enjoyed it overall. Had a very relaxed, much needed, break. So beautifully appointed.

Location was nice, about 15 mins drive out of Martinborough, away from other houses, so no problem with neighbouring noises. Outside furniture was comfortable. House itself was really beautiful, kitchen is amazing. PS4 was a hit with our boys. Outside was great for our dog, who ran around freely. Would definitely stay here again.

− No wifi which made using phone a little difficult. No BBQ, but there was a gas bottle.
