Basic accomodation with comfortable beds
8.0Great location, close to the town centre but quiet. The house was generally well stocked and had a washing machine. We appreciated the double glazing which kept the living room warm when the heater was off. The heating in the living room made it very warm and cozy. We appreciated having two seperate bathrooms, and the beds were very comfortable. The host was very friendly and responsive.
− The second bedroom had an inadequate heater, especially compared to the main living room - although the heated bed made it bearable. The living room was very cozy, but all of the chairs and couches were very squeaky and not very comfortable (for example, all the bar stools were very squeaky, and the lounge was actually a pull out bed and you could tell when sitting on it). The fridge also was not as pictured - it had been replaced with a smaller model that didn’t have its own freezer (like a hotel mini fridge) and we had bought freezer items. There also wasn’t a drying rack for dishes, and only 1 dishwasher tablet had been provided for a 3 night stay, although additional tablets were dropped off just before the end of our stay. It seems like the host has not stayed in their accomodation for a while as they would have picked up on these issues - because of the issues above I don’t necessarily think it was good value for money (in the off season).
