Il Trebbio is located on a beautiful hill slope near Albiano village overlooking the medeaval town of Barga. The views of the valley and the mountains are breathtaking. The surrounding area is quiet and peaceful except for the occasional honking of drivers who drive through narrow winding roads with many blind bends to the village below. Driving up the hills and navigating narrow roads to the house could be challenging to even a seasoned driver but once you get to the house and experience the scenery you feel that it is worth the trouble. In the mornings there were many spiecies of beutiful birds in the yard. The house was nice, clean, and relatively warm since the pellet stove was turned on before we arrived, which we appreciated. Most of the information regarding the property (disposal of garbage, pellet stove workings, etc) we received from the owner's father who came every day to check on us and helped us with our questions. He also cleaned the pellet stove daily, refilled it for us, and turned it on when we were not home. We truly appreciated his help and loved talking to him about the area.

− We did not receive any information from the owner on how to access or the address of the property or directions on how to get to the property before our arrival. The phone number listed on the booking.com was wrong. We followed the directions given on booking.com and ended up at a farmhouse on a hill above Albiano village (The two ladies on the farm were very kind. They found the phone number and called the property owner for us). We were charged € 8 per pellet bag for the pellet furness although we were told it was only € 7 on our arrival. We were also charged a tax (town tax?) per person at the end of our stay which we were unaware of at the booking. We paid an extra €60 in cash for pellet consumption & tax. The house would have been comfortable if there were enough rugs on the floor in the kitchen, living room, and bedrooms. Although we booked the house since it has three bedrooms and specifically communicated to the owner in advance that we needed two separate rooms for our sons, only two bedrooms were prepared for the whole family (There was no linen in the beds of the third room). The welcome guide we received consisted of 2 pages of QRCodes, which we were unable to access as the wifi was poor.
