Enchanting

10.0

From the moment Wilson greeted us, to the preheated warmth inside, this property was brilliantly unique and exceeded our expectations. We could "smell the history" within and were fascinated by the artwork and antique knick knacks. The hand carved pieces on the chessboard were a nice touch,as was the home cooked pasta left for us in the fridge. We enjoyed ourselves in front of the fireplace and had a wonderful relaxed time. Highly recommend 10/10✅️

Nothing.

Elderly Mother & Son

Easy to find & check into church on arrival. Very unique style of accommodation with bedrooms upstairs and downstairs, a nice large verandah with BBQ avail. The music playing and aircon going at 30° to warm up main area and fireplace ready to go was nice touch. I was impressed with phone/internet reception & all GC tv channels available with cupboard full of selection of lots board game and DVDs to watch. There's limited cafe & restaurant options nearby so owners leave you vegan pasta meal to heat up which was very convenient and car parking is right at front door.

Once you left main area with the kitchen/loungeroom & dinning area it was very cold in winter especially in toilet and TV room and downstairs bedroom. The window in toilet had no lock and was opening and banging shut with the storm that happened which also contributed to cold. Some of the lamps were really hard to turn off at wall and the noise at upstairs bedroom was full on during the storm keeping me awake but this wld of been case anywhere in Beechmont as the storm had intense wind gust. My elderly 83yr old mum found the step down to toilet/TV room and her bedroom bit high and suggested it could do with 2nd step. Also I didn't receive the welcome email until 9pm of the night I was staying that had all instructions about the church.

We loved staying in a converted church - quaint and charming!

Location was great - we wanted to stay in a renovated church, so were very happy with this. The heater was on when we arrived, as it was windy and cold outside - bonus! The owner had also left some dinner for us on arrival, as there were limited options open, but we did manage to find somewhere. That was very thoughtful. We loved the antiques, and we used the chess board :-) it wasn't quite cold enough for a fire, but we would use that in winter.

I forgot to tell the owner that the heater in the downstairs bedroom doesn't seem to be working. There were also no extra blankets in the closet that I could see.
