The best stay ever!
10.0I have stayed at many holiday cottages and Lower Arthurs topped them all. What a place! The property is finished to such a high standard, with the comfiest of furnishings. We all had the best nights sleep on the finest of beds, with cloud-like pillows. We spent most of our time in the outdoor area and kitchen diner, which was a dream to cook in. The hosts were absolutely fabulous, and knew every inch of the area with perfect recommendations. I would happily live here! Thank you for having us!!!
We had an excellent stay in a lovely cottage.
9.0The bed linen, pillows and the bed were all excellent, the size of the cottage was excellent. The small gift of groceries the first day was a nice touch. The local shops and pubs were all excellent, the people in the village were all friendly. The walk to Uppermill along the canal was superb.
− The hot tub didn't work when we arrived and it took the best part of our stay until it was fixed, i realize that's out of the owners control, but it was disappointing. The BBQ didn't have any tools, this host did drop new BBQ tools off but it did take a couple of days. We used the kitchen to cook some meals, the kitchen pans could be better quality. The coffee pot was difficult to use for a group, a french press or drip carafe would have been much better.

10.0We loved our stay at Lower Arthur’s Cottage! The home was so beautifully decorated and had so many lovely spaces to enjoy. The kitchen area was gorgeous and well equipped and we loved having family meals here. The area is also fantastic and the cottage is walking distance to many amenities, walking trails and an easy 15 min walk to the Main Street of Uppermill which had plenty more restaurant and cafe options. Highly recommend!

9.0Welcome groceries were high quality, a good range and definitely needed after our long drive. Wine fridge a definitely bonus and an exceptionally well equipped kitchen so useful for cooking and enjoying Mel’s with friends. The entire property was outstandingly clean. We’ll definitely be back.
− Didn’t receive instructions ahead of time. Had to telephone to get details but given the information immediately and key box was easy to use.
Lovely country retreat
9.0Had such a lovely stay in Lower Arthur’s - the house was perfect, super cosy, beds were very comfortable, living in the dressing gowns for the weekend was a dream. Great location, close to walks, tesco & the village
− We couldn’t get the fire pit to work :( but overall didn’t impact our stay at all
