Tutto è stato meraviglioso. Era accogliente e molto confortevole. Il proprietario, Mauro, è stato molto gentile con noi. Ci mancano già la città di Osimo e l’alloggio.

Unbearable traffic noise and unmanageable heat

The house is extremely clean and well looked after. There are 3 toilets, 2 of which also have a shower room. Rooftop terrace was a bonus. Large modern fridge and a usable kitchen were handy, even though we mostly had pizza take-outs and supermarket food. Walk to town centre is 10min.

− Parking space was advertised, but there was no mention that it's a garage with restricted width and height and difficult access, which we couldn't use with our rental car - a BYD SUV, not our choice. I doubt that anything larger than a WV Golf would fit. We had to resort to pay for parking, every day in a different spot around the town centre because spaces are limited and very sought-after in the evening. The house is next to an extremely noisy and steep main exit from the historical town centre, with relentless traffic running and braking at all hours day and night including the weekend - anything from loud scooters to lorries. We could smell diesel and petrol pollution in the house, particularly on the ground floor. With the exception of the ground floor, we had to keep all the windows open at all times because the house would bake at 30C+ during the day - rooftop floor would be so hot at dinner time that one could not walk barefoot on it. Despite this, the heat would make for sweaty nights, even when using fans. Therefore, we hardly slept for 6 nights because traffic noise during the night was ferocious and relentless. If we could shut the windows and the house had air conditioning with filtering, this issue would have been much reduced (albeit probably still not mitigated enough for proper peaceful sleep), but alas it was not and therefore we had the most unpleasant extended stay in any Booking.com property we ever stayed in over the last 2 decades. We came back shattered. This is not a house suitable for hot weather, and while it was unusual to have such a hot second-half of June, even with temperatures in the upper 20s - which would be more traditional for the time of the year - it would have been too warm to sleep with the windows closed. While the house had the potential of being comfortable, lack of sleep made our visit really challenging and obliterated the excellent hospitality we were shown.
