Excellent location, lovely decoration. Comfy and cosy cottage.

Good location, lovely inside and very comfortable.

I would struggle to find a negative, the only being there were 4 of us and we ran out of toilet roll.

Dusty, cobwebs and dead flies caused us to leave early

Handy for Amble and surrounding areas

Firstly, the property is on a busy main road, on a bend. We were informed that free parking was available. But this is anywhere around the area on any street. We ended up having to park down the hill over the other side of the road, half in the kerb. It is dangerous to park right in front of cottage, on that bend. I tried to ring owner when we arrived and ask about parking. Despite leaving a message, he never returned my call. Secondly, we left a day early, as we had planned 3 nights. Superficially, the place looks clean. However, it was dusty, with cobwebs and dead flies in lots of areas. The dust was on the blinds, the panelling in the bedrooms, as well as cobwebs down the sides of the bedside cupboards, so much that my allergies were triggered. We simply could not stand it another night of poor sleep due to the amount of dust in areas. We have now contacted booking.com to get a refund for the 3rd night we did not use the cottage. This is the first time in all my time using booking.com that I have complained to this extent, but when you are paying £150 ish per night, you expect a standard of cleanliness akin to your own home. Unfortunately, this was an unpleasant experience owing that we had to leave early and not stay in this lovely part of the U.K.
