Christmas stay
10.0The Peace and quiet Cabin was very spacious clean and Furnaced perfectly.We had experienced a great loss this year and wanted to spend Christmas in a peaceful setting where we could take our dog and my son could go fishing it was so calm and peaceful and eased any stresses over a difficult time. Such a lovely place.

− Didn't see the additional payment of £30 for pets. Likely my mistake, but wasn't obviously clear.
Great location but poor sleep due to confirm of the beds.

Beautiful, tranquil & comfortable
10.0Lovely tranquil location on a lake with only 15 other lodges. Within walking distance of a restaurant (need to book this in advance). A very short drive to other facilities such as kayaking (payable), cafes & takeaways. Ideal location for a relaxing stay for adults & taking a few wildlife photos! Gorgeous, spacious, comfortable & spotlessly clean lodge with bathroom & ensuite to main bedroom. Helpful hosts & free parking near the lodge. Bath towels, teatowels, handwash & dishwasher tablets provided.
− As it is a fishing lake, there were no facilities on site for our teen boys, but we knew this & were happy because it was only a 2 night stay. My only slight grumble was the creaky metal bunk beds in the small room & the bathroom could do with some shelves. Would be very happy to stay here again though 😊
Expected to live near lake but cant enjoy the view.
3.0Lodge itself is spacious.
− The lodge lacks proper cleaning. The surroundings are extremely dirty. When we tried to walk around the lake, the grass areas were left uncleaned, covered in bird droppings. It's impossible to look straight ahead; you must constantly watch your step. Lake water was also dirty. So if you are expecting to stay near lake and enjoy lake view then try some other place.
