A lovely bright and spacious room with AC and the loveliest and most helpful host who not only gave me the bus schedule to get from Ella to Tissa but also picked me up from the bus stop and drove me to the bus station again the next day! He organised safari for me and brought me to the lake to see birds, bats and crocodiles. Genuinely the best host anyone could ask for!

Great stay here, hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Priya took us out in his Tuk-Tuk for a drive to spot local wildlife on our first night free of charge. He is very knowledgable and it’s clear he is passionate about the animals. We also had dinner here both nights, a beautiful spread of Sri Lankan food prepared by his wife and a few beers, all for a very good price. The room was nice, had a comfortable bed and great air conditioning. We also had our own Tuk-Tuk and were able to park this inside the gate to the property so we knew it was safe. Priya also gave us binoculars for our safari the following day.

− The bathroom had a really strong sick like odour in it. The drawer inside the unit in the room had cockroaches in it and lots of droppings. We found two in the room which we removed and wondered where they were coming from, that’s when we pulled out the drawer. The hairdryer was also in here, so after seeing this my partner was unable to use it after washing her hair. We also booked a Yala Safari through here which was overall quite disappointing. No introduction made by driver upon pick up, just a morning. No hello how are you, are you ready for a good day, my name is, still don’t know his name as he never told us. Throughout the day there was no passion shown whatsoever, which for something like this you would expect given the experience. Communication was poor. Driver would roll down window and shouted to us in the back but nobody in our group could hear or understand him. There was a couple of times he said look and said an animals name which no one knew what it was and he didn’t explain. He also referred to water monitors as iguanas and hornbills as toucans……..There was no itinerary provided whatsoever. Would have been nice to know what was happening with the day concerning toilet breaks and lunch, but we were kept in the dark the whole day. Lunch was provided by Blue Birds Tissa as when we were picked up, the driver was handed the lunch by our hosts, we knew the food would be lovely having had dinner the night before. However, the driver did not wash his hands with soap before preparing our food. We got to the lunch location and he said to us if you want to wash your hands , I’ll prepare the food. We walked round to the sinks and he was in front of us, going to do the same. I got to the sinks and he was rinsing his hands with just water, I said no soap? He said washrooms round the corner. So we went round as our hands were filthy with the dust from the roads, but he didn’t. I never ate the lunch after seeing this.

Such a friendly owner and a great place to stay. We booked our safari through priya and had the best day seeing all the animals, with a great tour guide! Really well organised. The accommodation is so comfortable and we had great breakfast and dinner here! He also took us on a free small tour the evening before our safari to see the local wildlife like birds and crocodiles! Was a great addition and we really enjoyed ourselves. We also booked priya as a private driver to our next destination and a reasonable price, he was so helpful to us organising our travel and can answer any questions you have!

Tesis sahibi bizimle öncesinden iletişim kurarak uygun fiyata çok güzel bir Safari ayarladı. Geç varmamıza rağmen baykuş ve timsah gözlemi için yakındaki göle götürdü ve keyifli bir ön Safari yapmış olduk. Herkese konaklamak için tavsiye ederim.

Priya est le best !!! Je n’ai jamais vu un hôte aussi investi et passionné. Il nous a proposé de nous faire un petit tour gratuitement pour voir les chouettes et les crocodiles by night. Il a organisé notre safari avec l’excellent guide Nalaka et notre retour en bus à Colombo. Sa femme est également très accueillante. Ils nous ont même préparer un petit-déjeuner. La chambre était propre et spacieuse. Je vous les recommande vivement, ne passez pas à côté de ce bijou !
