We felt at home and welcomed by our hosts, and that made a big difference for our first trip to Amsterdam.

Very comfortable bed & room with balcony, in quiet location - we slept very well. We knew we were sharing a bathroom, but the shower was good, plenty of hot water, & this was always clean & more than adequate for our needs. Our hosts were delightful and we were touched that they offered us their kitchen/living facilities to make our own breakfast on the ground floor for the whole of their stay, and were very responsive to our needs. It was a 10-15 min walk to the nearest bus/train stop into Amsterdam, but these were very regular & convenient once we had orientated ourselves. We had a great time in Amsterdam (so much to do/see) and being out of the noisy city at night suited us well.

− The stairs to the first floor are very steep - fine for us, but so others know with large bags or some mobility needs.

The hosts were very welcoming, super friendly, and willing to help us with anything related to our stay in the city.

− The water pipes that go to the bathroom pass through the room we were staying in, and sometimes there were noises when using the bathroom. But nothing serious or that spoiled our stay.

− Viajamos una amiga y yo y teníamos pagadas tres noches en este alojamiento, de jueves a domingo. Lamentablemente, la experiencia fue tan desagradable que considero necesario dejar constancia para que otras personas no se lleven la misma sorpresa que nos llevamos nosotras. Sinceramente, no entiendo cómo este alojamiento puede tener buenas valoraciones teniendo en cuenta la mala educación y la falta absoluta de profesionalidad de la propietaria. Antes de llegar, intenté llamarla un par de veces porque no habíamos recibido información clara sobre cómo realizar el check-in y queríamos confirmarlo antes de desplazarnos. No solo no respondió a mis llamadas, algo que puedo entender si estaba trabajando, sino que al llegar me lo echó en cara, diciéndome que la había estado llamando y que no tenía tiempo para mí porque tenía que trabajar. Si una persona ofrece alojamiento a huéspedes, lo mínimo es atenderles correctamente o facilitar la información necesaria con antelación. Además, cuando buscamos alojamiento nos fijamos expresamente en que la política indicaba que no se admitían mascotas, algo importante para nosotras porque mi amiga tiene pánico a los perros. Al llegar, preguntamos por ello y la propietaria nos dijo que tenía un perro y un gato, asegurando que esa información aparecía en la descripción del alojamiento. Esto no era cierto, ya que lo habíamos revisado previamente precisamente por ese motivo. Cuando le expliqué que mi amiga tenía pánico a los perros, su reacción fue reírse en nuestra cara y responder: “Ese no es mi problema”. Una contestación absolutamente fuera de lugar, fría y carente de cualquier empatía. Le pedimos simplemente que nos indicara dónde aparecía esa información, para saber dónde deberíamos haberlo visto. En lugar de aclararlo, nos dijo que no iba a perder más el tiempo con nosotras, que no quería alojarnos y que nos fuéramos de su casa.
