10.0A lovely well appointed cottage, all set up for self-catering. Great location for exploring New Plymouth and surrounds.
Gorgeous cottage - a home away from home
9.0Loved the homely feel, the chooks free roaming, the privacy, the added lovely touches of coffee machine, chocolates, eggs, bacon and other breakfast supplies. The kitchen was well equipped. The internet was great. Hot water bottles and electric blankets. All the comforts of home.
− The cottage was beautiful on the inside, however is in need of TLC on the outside. Weeds growing out of the guttering, spider webs, lichen and dirt on the outside and decking in need of a clean.The sign on the street frontage also needs a spruce-up. Attending to these things will polish up the charm of the cottage. We thought the price a bit steep given how the outside should reflect this. Would have exceeded my expectations otherwise.

9.0The cottage had all that was needed for a comfortable stay. Lots of unexpected extras like fresh eggs from the hens roaming and bread butter and bacon.
− The only thing was the weather which hosts could not control. But cottage was warm and dry.

10.0Very clean , peaceful and quaint with nice period touches and beautiful flowers. Fresh eggs and other breakfast options a nice benefit. Best value so far a month in on our trip. Better than the photos. It made me nostalgic for times past in a very good way.
− Nothing I did not like but I would say that if you need all the latest modern conveniences and be pampered the Post Office might not be for you. For example, it has a smaller stove and shower that both worked fine. Embrace it and you will appreciate it.
