Great Place and Hosts for Staying, Booking the Mekong Slow Boat

Of all the listings for Huay Xia, I chose this place for two reasons - others' comments about the yummy pork sandwich and their ability to book slow boat tickets with guaranteed seating in front of the boat. They delivered again on both these recommendations in addition to having a wide variety of menu selections to pack for take away munching on the boat. The very large facility is interesting in design and architecture and the family who owns this are absolutely the nicest, sweetest people! I arrived with a nasty head cold and stayed an extra night to sleep, recover before the boat trip. For anyone with extra time, it's worth the short walk to the hilltop historic french fortress for excellent river views.

− The rooms are everything other reviews mention, both the good and the bad. The pretentious will find plenty to complain about but otherwise this place serves as an excellent choice for starting the 2-Day Slow Boat journey down the Mekong River.

La signora della reception è molto gentile ci ha aiutato con la prenotazione del treno e del mini van e alla nostra partenza ci ha regalato dei biscotti… la camera era pulita, al mattino presto dalla finestra si vedono i monaci che vanno in giro per le offerte. A piedi si raggiunge facilmente dal punto in cui arrivano le barche e vicino ci son market e ristoranti

Tout était parfait Hotel très accueillante et aidante Il y a restaurant sur place et petit shop Très bien placé pour manger à l’extérieur 2 nuits passées avant de prendre le slow boat . Billet acheté à l’hôtel, Tuk Tuk le matin du départ compris dans le prix Lit et chambre spacieuse et confortable , clim…
