10.0Very nice and comfortable place!!!! Highly recommend!!!! Lady,who is working there is so nice and always ready to help. Guest house itself is located in perfect place to watch Puffins!!!!! Definitely will come back there!

10.0I especially like the interaction with the hosts, which is not so common anymore on Iceland, and the possibility to wander through the guesthouse which gives the feeling of a spaceous accommodation, even with a small room. Furthermore coffee was available all day. And the host took care of transportation from the harbour to the guesthouse and back, and offered a lift to the different island locations.

8.0Very nice accommodation with a very friendly and helpful host. The area is amazing. The island is small and good for nice hikes, the few inhabitants make your stay pleasant. You will have everything you need in the house and on the island. Don't expect luxury, but the charm of just having what you need. We had a great stay.

Guest house Básar is set on the island of Grímsey, which is accessible either by airplane from Akureyri airport (Norlandair.is) or by ferry from Dalvik (Vegagerdin.is). The guest house is located at the airport next to the arctic circle and it takes about 15 minutes to walk to the ferry at the harbor.
