Ok, could be improved for the price.

Location close enough to town centre and beach, basic but comfortable facilities.

− Some issues with appliances that we were looking forward to not working, unpleasant smell like it hadn't been aired out, wi-fi not great meaning we were unable to watch much that was on the TV (e.g., soccer games), gas fire didn't work meaning we lost much of the ambiance we were hoping for on a cold wintery night, basic facilities - no decent coffee (just a couple of old nescafe bags), 1 small instant milk provided and a few tea bags, but that was about it. For the price (we paid $360 for one night), would have been nice to have some extra attention to making the place stand out for couples wanting a romantic weekend away (remember the old days when places would have a few eggs and bacon in the fridge for breakfast, some welcome chocolates and wine, fresh coffee?? A few touches and you come in and go "wow"!.) However, was clean enough and otherwise a nice enough place, just could have been lifted with some simple touches. But overall, it's ok and nothing to avoid.

Hopefully the owners will consider making some improvements

This property is very pretty and has so much potential, I actually felt disappointed that the owners are not capitalising on that potential.

− I was not there for a holiday, I was there for an appointment in the region. I was not made aware until after the booking was made, which apartment I had. I really struggled with the 20 stairs - particularly upon checkout where guests are expected to take away their own rubbish (why is this? It's not on Kangaroo Island!) as well as carry all their luggage down very steep and narrow stairs - I felt it was very dangerous and should be noted on the facilities section of the booking to warn guests. The vibe overall is a bit 90's - with plastic plants, a handful of Nescafe stick satches and teabags in the cupboard, and the one art work is a blurry canvas of Paris. Again - opportunities missed - it would be so much better if they embraced the region in terms of decor. I spent the first 2 hours (unwittingly) drying my hands with the floor mat (as they hang that on the towel rail), whilst all other towels are on the bed. The apartment is set up for summer - and is not modified for winter conditions. I was freezing all night sleeping under a summer weight quilt. I had clothes I needed to iron (ironing facilities are stated) - there is an iron, but no ironing board. All in all a bit frustrating and stressful.
