− Poor Television and Internet facilities on a rainy day

Disappointed accomodation

At first glance the flat seemed well apponted. The disappointment came once we were in and settled.

− The TV that was advertised didn't work. The dishwashing machine was unusable. It smelled bad and there was stagnant water in the bottom. The filter was extremely clogged. I didnt go on holiday to clean filters.The bedroom cupboard sliding doors wouldn't slide open. They were jammed on the rails so we were unable to unpack our luggage. Lights didn't work. The bathroom basin cabinet was non existent. It was screwed shut and there was nowhere to hang clothing in the bathroom. Light fittings need replacing because they are cracked. There were not enough drinking glasses. Only three. There was general shabbiness like pealing cupboards, rotten wood in bathroom. I also noticed that paintings in the flat haven't been cleaned on top. I don't think the owner inspects her property because after numerous messages it appeared that she was totally unaware of what is happening with her property. She apologised to me and said that she held her property to a high standard. That is definitely not the case. It is not what was advertised and not what we expected and paid for. Not a recommendation I would give! The whole property is not wheelchair friendly or elderly friendly or friendly for people carrying luggage or shopping. When people using the lift, which is modelled on a funicular rail lift, failed to close the outer lift door, it involved climbing numerous stairs to get to each flat. Will never book at 27 Umdloti again.

The accommodation was conveniently located close to the main beach and restaurants.

Beautiful central location across the road from North Beach. On arrival I had to hike up a number or stairs with heavy luggage. Complex staff very helpful. Lift / tram to apartment was an adventure. Beds were comfortable.

− No WIFI on arrival and therefore struggled to get work done and TV connected. Host happy to upload data but it ran out halfway through my stay. Bit of a damp / smoke smell and couldn't open doors or windows due to monkeys.

We enjoyed our stay!!!

Beautiful and clean apartment,what a lovely view and the apartment has got everything you can need, you just feel at home. Our host gave clear instructions which made everything and our stay easy.

− We didn't get a warm welcome from the night shift securities on our arrival,they said they can tell that we are too excited by just looking at us,we will get tired they are there to work ,they said all the nasty comments they made us feel so small and unwanted .We offloaded our luggages with our heart broken ,we were not even making any kind of noise beside that it was before 10 pm,we assumed that we got that treatment from them cause we are black and young maybe till we saw other African families. We work hard we work long hours we were there to relax, have our time but then again we did enjoy our stay.

− Stairs are hectic and a broken cable lift makes matters worse.it was never easy to access the room,very difficult indeed
