They should do something about hygiene of the rooms during stays and repeated water problems

The view and the location of the property was great.

− The place did not have water completely, and the rooms had recycled bed sheets that were not clean. Room service did not change bed sheets on a daily basis for 4 days, there was no room cleaning/ towel changes on a daily basis and the entire stay was shrouded by poor hygiene of the rooms. Even going to the toilet became a situation because of the water problem. For these hygiene standards it's not worth the money. The hygiene situation was extreme resorting use of services of another hotel. A section of the rooftop had a hole on the roof, kitchens were dirty and taps rusty, making usability a serious problem. The heat situation and then combined with these hygiene issues made the whole stay a serious hustle despite the good view and location.

Hotel was okay, but Lamu Town was not!!

Its location on the seafront made it easily accessible.

− I was in an annexe separate from the main property and in a roof terrace apartment,3 floors up with no lift. I managed, but at 76 years old things could have been different. They should consider that when renting out.

Transfer to hotel was good

− Accommodation was very inferior to what was advertised on booking.com We booked seafront - it was a few streets back, The apartment was only half finished -electrical wires hanging out of walls. Electrical devices still in their packing, dirty concrete floors, showers didn't work and it became difficult to contact manager for action.After the complain the manager promised to move us to the earlier booked seafront apartment. They never showed up for pick up and we had to carry our baggage it's quit a distance. The apartment had no water which was later fixed. The whole stay was unpleasant and caused us to miss some of our planned activities.

Lo único bueno del apartamento es la ubicación ya que esta en el centro de Lamu y el aire acondicionado.

− Recoger las llaves fue muy lento y lo primero que nos dijeron es que no tenían habitaciones libre, después de llamar aquí y allá por fin nos dieron el apartamento. La limpieza brilla por su ausencia, el agua de la ducha huele mal y sale marrón. No me importa que los muebles sean viejos, incluso pueden dar un toque a la habitación pero que el sofá este lleno de manchas, que haya polvo por todos lados, que la cocina este sucia y los vasos y tazas con restos de los huéspedes anteriores sin medios para poder fregarlos es una falta de higiene tremenda, por el precio que se paga deberían hacer una limpieza más exhaustiva.
