Spacious, comfortable and well equipped apartment close to the beach.

It was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Very convenient for Guardamar central beach which is only a couple of minutes walk away and for the many restaurants on the seafront. There’s a lovely swimming pool available to use although in October when we stayed the water was very cold. The apartment is on the first floor with a choice of stairs or lift. Our host greeted us when we arrived although his English is limited. We were able to contact him by WhatsApp and using a translator app this was easy.

− For us as an older couple the self catering became a bit of a chore. This was because of the distance carrying shopping back to the apartment from Mercadona. We used the nearest small shop, La Fiesta on the Ramblas (limited choice)and Los Gemelos (much better, especially for fresh food) which is a little bit farther, but for a much bigger variety of choices the supermarket Mercadona is best. Most people will not find the food shopping a problem and if you’re prepared to eat out there’s plenty of choice. You can even go for breakfast on the seafront with a view of the beaches.

Comfortable, practical apartment in an ideal location.

The apartment on the first floor of this building was ideal in most ways. It is spacious and comfortable, it is very near the beach and there are many restaurants within a short walking distance. The kitchen is practical and very well equipped. We found the double bed comfortable and there are plenty of drawers and wardrobe space. Almost everything you need is provided, including beach chairs and a sun umbrella. The balcony is good for eating on or relaxing with a drink. The only downside is that it faces another block of flats directly across the road. However, the road is usually quiet. We spent a very pleasant week in Cristina 8, walking in the parks and enjoying the beach as well as eating out.

− Although we ate out on most evenings we had our other meals in the apartment. We would have liked a larger chopping board for preparing food. We had no car so groceries had to be carried back from the shops, so a shopping trolley would have been useful. Otherwise, everything we needed was available.
