Great base to explore Edinburgh with a lovely host

Lovely host who was good to communicate with and gave clear instructions. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch and the host put a couple of sweets on the pillows for my kids’ bed which made for very happy boys. We’ve stayed in this area of Dalgety Bay before and it’s the ideal place to explore Edinburgh and Fife.

− The WiFi wasn’t very fast but not a major issue if you don’t plan on being in the apartment all day.

Nous nous sommes un peu perdu lors de notre arrivée mais notre hôte a été très réactive et sympathique, de plus nous avons beaucoup apprécié la délicate attention lors de notre arrivée. L’appartement est très bien situé, très agréable et décoré avec goût. Les chambres très confortable, je recommande vivement !

It was clean,lots of really nice wee touches such as a welcome hamper,and helpful information on places to go,eat and taxis to use. Just a few minutes walk down to the river forth edge too for exceptional views of the forth road bridge and a lovely wee walk too.

An excellent apartment in a very quiet area, convenient to go to Edinburgh or to the surroundings (stirling, coast,etc) The owner is super attentive and takes care of any detail (she left some presents in the kitchen and for our daughter) Thank you very much, Julie!

− The mattresses could be better and there was a temporary problem with the WiFi speed, not a fault of the owner

Schöne Lage in einem ruhigen Wohnviertel. In 2 Minuten ist man am Strand. Parkplätze sind direkt vor der Haustür vorhanden. Der Wohnbereich ist schön hell gestaltet. Uns empfingen frische Blumen und ein liebevoller Präsentkorb. Die Kommunikation mit Wegbeschreibung für die Anreise war sehr hilfreich. Auch war die Kommunikation sehr freundlich. Das Stadzentrum von Edinburgh erreicht man leicht und in kurzer Zeit bequem von dort mit dem Auto. Ein kleiner Supermarkt ist auch in 5 Minuten erreichbar. Die Schlafzimmer und der Wohnbereich waren sehr sauber. Ebenfalls ist das bereitgestellte Duschbad und Shampoo sehr gut.

− Abends werden die Parkplätze knapp. Wir hatten aber Glück und immer einen freien Platz bekommen. Das Bad hat leider muffig gerochen. Spiegel waren im Bad nur sehr kleine vorhanden. Einer davon war dreckig. Der Duschkopf ist leider so angebracht, dass nur sehr kleine Menschen aufrecht darunter stehen können. Das Wasser im Waschbecken lief nur ganz langsam ab. Das zweite Schlafzimmer ist durch eine Schiebetür aus Glas abgetrennt. Diese schließt nicht richtig. Privatsphäre hat man dort also gar nicht. Eine richtige Tür wäre schön gewesen. Die Tür des zweiten Schlafzimmers schloss leider auch nicht richtig. Sie ging immer wieder auf. Es gab auch gar keine Schränke in den Schlafzimmern. Man lebt also aus dem Koffer. Insgesamt ist es sehr hellhörig. Nachbarn im Treppenhaus hört man so deutlich, als würden Sie neben dem Sofa stehen. Die Küche ist sehr mager und nicht alltagstauglich ausgestattet, was Geschirr und Kochutensilien betrifft. Anstatt ausgefallener ToGo-Becher mit Strohhalm, vielleicht lieber ein paar Gläser mehr und eine Teekanne bereit stellen. Die Wohnung könnte insgesamt ein bisschen funktionaler eingerichtet sein. Für ein bis zwei Übernachtungen ist die Wohnung völlig ausreichend, aber für einen längeren Urlaub eher nicht so geeignet.

Julie provided excellent check-in instructions, making our arrival smooth and stress-free. The apartment was exceptionally clean and had a warm, cozy atmosphere that truly felt like home. We really appreciated the thoughtful welcome basket with snacks, the complimentary toiletries, and the well-equipped kitchen with everything we needed. The location was also fantastic—just a short walk from the coastline, making it easy to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend this apartment to others.

− One suggestion would be to provide two sets of keys, as I like to go for an early morning walk and need to lock the apartment while leaving a spare set inside for the other guests in case of an emergency. Overall, we had a wonderful stay.
