Pretty but away from everything

Our room on the second floor at the end of the corridor was lovely. Private and quiet. The breakfast and kitchen staff were good.

− Our arrival was a little chaotic. The woman didn’t “believe our booking” and later decided to interrupt our check in process with a call for another booking. It had been a long ride in and we just wanted to get to our room to rest.

Good place with nice appartment for a family (2 rooms + a kitchen and a living room). Very clean

− Unfortunately no stove in the kitchen so not possible to cook. Only 2 bicycles available at the hotel so not enough for our family and not possible to rent some on the island

In May 2026, my spouse and I explored northern Sri Lanka and stayed for one night in Mannar at Victory’s Garden Hotel. For a very affordable price, we were pleasantly surprised by the warm hospitality, cleanliness, good internet, and delicious food. Even during a city power outage, the hotel’s backup solar battery worked perfectly. The owner/manager was extremely polite and welcoming, prepared a generous breakfast for us, and kindly adjusted the food to be less spicy. The room and bathroom were spotless, which made our stay very comfortable. Good parking in the yard. Incredible price.
