My stay was comfortable.
9.0The privacy.
− The room was very clean but a little small for me. I'm a big guy. Having said that, for a night or two, not bad. As an extended stay, I would have to stay somewhere else. Also, the space heater did not work.

− It's small as expected. I think two people would have problems, best for individual.

− The door handle it a little janky and has to be realigned to open the door.
Delightful Dragonfly cottage in Alpine, TX.
8.0Stand-alone cottage with parking space a few feet from the front door. Cozy, with homey touches. Good communication with host. Although no kitchen, there was a mini-fridge and microwave, coffee maker, coffee, condiments, dishes and implements. Outdoor patios, including one under cover. An informative information binder as well as several tourist brochures and local magazine.
− No kitchen, as advertised on Booking.com. Host explained that her description of kitchen appliances, dishes and implements did not fit Booking.com’s AI description list. I was, however, able to store, prepare and eat my own food, then wash dishes in the bathroom (liquid dish soap provided).
I was there for Big Bend Bluegrass Festival. Had a great time, slept well in the cottage.
8.0Convenient to central Alpine: Short walk to Bread and Breakfast, Holland Hotel, Reata Restaurant, AMTRAK station. Short drive to event venue at Alpine City Hall. Free WiFi. Price was right.
− The tiny drip coffee maker overflowed and made a mess. No breakfast provided, just a mini-fridge and a microwave. Two AC units: One in bedroom was fine, one in bathroom smelled bad.
