The situation with public transport is great, U7 line is a minute away and other U and S lines are within 10 minutes of walking, buses as well. The city centre can be reached in around 40 minutes. The neighbourhood seemed a little bit sketchy at first (specifically the park across the street), but there were multiple families living nearby and nothing dangerous happened during our stay. Its just a simple neighbourhood :). There are lost of food options around and the grocery stores are close by - very convenient. The landlord sends out helpful automatic messages that may contain some unclear information, so make sure to ask questions and communicate with the landlord - they respond pretty quickly, are respectful and explain everything in detail, including the instructions on how to get the keys.

− Since the apartment is on the ground floor and accessed through the inner yard (reached by unlocking the building door), it was a little bit uncozy (at least at first) - the building residents keep their bikes in front of the apartment door and windows, and behind them are the trashbins, so there is some noise and movement daily, and we had to make sure we weren't making much noise. It's important to consider that if you are easily distracted or feel unconfortable by nearby movement. But safety wasn't our worry - the doors cannot be opened from the outside without a key and the windows are behind bars. But the doors to the apartment and especially to the yard (the door is of old wood, the handle AND the lock are janky and not stable) are difficult to unlock - we got scared that we will never learn how to open them. If you have rented this place, you have to pull the doors towards yourself and turn the keys all the way to one side or the other.

Tolle Lage, Hochbett bequem, Kontakt war unkompliziert und schnell bei Fragen.

NIKS!

− Auto geparkeerd in de straat. Dit bleek niet gratis te zijn. De parkeerapp maakt het wel makkelijker, aangezien je dan doorbetaald. Kosten ongeveer 20 euro per dag. Daarna zijn we op zoek gegaan naar de sleutels. We hebben ruim1,5u gezocht. Volgens de instructies zouden de sleutels aan de overkant van de straat in een sleutelkluisje moeten liggen. Hele straat afgezocht, niet gevonden! De host was amper bereikbaar. Pas na lang zoeken en meerdere berichten, werden er foto's gestuurd waarop meer aanwijzingen stonden. Toch nog een half uur gezocht en toen vonden we het sleutelkluisje. Het sleutelkluisje werkte slecht, dus opnieuw een half uur staan rommelen, waarna het open ging. Daarna op zoek naar het juiste appartement. Bewoners van het complex hebben ons toen (zuchtend) gewezen waar we moesten zijn. Bij binnenkomst bleek het appartement niet schoongemaakt te zijn. Het was er vies; bedden niet verschoond, vieze handdoeken, vuil op de grond, wastafel met tandpasta en haren, wc met poep erin. We hebben besloten op een andere plek te verblijven, aangezien het al vroeg op de avond was inmiddels en de host niks van zich liet horen. Natuurlijk direct contact gelegd met Booking.com. Inmiddels zijn we al een aantal dagen thuis. Booking compenseert vooralsnog niet onze kosten; inmiddels al wel meerder telefoontjes aan gewaagd (in totaal ruim 2 uur). We hopen dat Booking zijn verantwoordelijkheid neemt en ons het betaalde bedrag netjes terugbetaalt.

− Primero que yo reservé la habitación más grande y me dieron la más pequeña. Nada que ver con las fotos. Y después que al llegar había una especie de "juego" que consiste en buscar las llaves en la calle, cruzando vías y mirando bajo las farolas. Me ayudaron los inquilinos de Meddo I, que casualmente ocupaban nuestra habitación. Encontramos las llaves dos horas después de llegar escondida en una bicicleta abandonada. Surrealista. En fin muy mala experiencia. Coincidió con unas temperaturas excepcionales en Berlín de 39 grados centigrados. Puedo decir como cosa positiva que tiene buena relación calidad precio, está bien comunicado y aceptablemente limpio.

Good amenities, but definitely there's scope for improvement

The location is great. The amenities are provided as promised. The apartment is very well equipped and has all that one needs. We were staying for a longer duration and often cooked.

− The host is not at all responsive, no phone number is provided and you can't reach them at all. I had trouble getting into the apartment as well. The sofa bed is not comfortable and it would've been perfect if a third bed was provided. The shower drain didn't work properly and often we found ourselves in a puddle of water if taking a longer shower. No garbage bags were provided.
