Beautiful Quiet Apartment in Waltenhofen
10.0Beautiful, well-kept, quiet apartment in Waltenhofen. Very clean and organized. 2 chairs, a table and an umbrella on the balcony. Lovely mountain views. You cannot see the castle from the balcony but you will see it whenever you are out. 15 minute walk or 5 minute bike to a large grocery store and several restaurants, beer gardens, and a brewery that serves great food. Petrol station is beside the grocery store. Comfortable beds. Very quiet at night. Wifi works well. Lots of comfortable seating in living room and dining room. Well equipped kitchen. Kettle, toaster, coffee machine. You are required to wash and put away dishes before leaving but there is a DISHWASHER so it's no bother. Salt, pepper, and sugar available. No towels with no option for them, you must bring your own. About 1 hour 15 minutes on foot to Neuschwanstein Castle - not including climbing mountain to Castle or 25 minutes by bike. A bus loops around and depending on time of day takes 20-50 minutes to get to castle. Add about 30 minutes to each estimation to get to Füssen. Bus stops running around 6pm and starts around 9am. The train station in Füssen had a GREAT ebike rental location. Very easy to take the bus to the apartment from the train station. Bus stop closest is King Ludwig Hotel - about a block away in Canadian speak. Only a few minute walk. They provide an underground parking spot - we kept our rental bikes down there.
