Beautiful views but high risk choice

The location 10 minutes walk from the train station. The views on all sides.

− 5€ charge for basics of bedding and towel and those were stained too. In 4 decades of travel, I've never arrived to find without warning I would pay for this and this decision alone must account for the negative views the minute people arrive. Just include it in your room rate!!!! Property is a detached house on 3 floors. 1st floor is a 3 bed 5 person apartment rented at over 200€ per night average. 2nd and 3rd floors all open, 6 x 2 bed rooms, 2 x toilets, 1 x working shower (inside room with one of toilets). So 12 guests have to share 1 shower and 2 toilets. This is not acceptable. Kitchen is OK, but lacking some basic utensils. Despite description stating no parties, other guests were clearly drunk though not too disruptive yer noisy enough at 2am to be woken up and Impossible to use the shared space with 6 jolly drink students!!! You take your chances with who is staying in the other 5 bedrooms. I think overall we were lucky, despite feeling awkward with the inebriated in the other bedrooms. Communication is very bad. It took 3 exchanges of messages before the owner finally agreed to hand over the keyboard codes, not acceptable, why could he / she not just give them the first time he / she responded????? This led to a lot of anxiety about whether we were being scammed.

Sentral beliggenhet Gode senger

− Generelt et ganske slitent sted. Kunne trengt litt TLC både her og der. For eksempel løsnet håndtaket på vinduet man skulle lukke vinduet. Ytterdøren sto på vidt gap så man hadde ingen kontroll på hvem som gikk inn og ut. Fant ut etterpå at vi ikke hadde kode til døra, så det var vel derfor...

Since there are few options existing in Åndalsnes- good that at leasts this one exists. Location is 10-15 minutes from the station. It was clean.

− The apartment was not very cozy or comfortable. Bed linen and towels cost an extra €5 per set, payable either in cash or via Vipps. This was the first time I had encountered such a system. In my experience, when you pay for accommodation, basic necessities like bed linen and towels are usually included. The renovation feels very budget-oriented, with inexpensive materials and a rather impersonal atmosphere. It seems designed mainly as a place to spend the night rather than somewhere you would enjoy relaxing after exploring Åndalsnes. The interior is very minimalistic, and the décor feels inconsistent. For example, our bedroom had children’s curtains with cartoon airplanes.

Grei leilighet, sentralt og ok pris.

− Kommunikasjon var fraværende. Var ikke varmtvann i dusjen, fikk melding klokka ca. 22.00 om at det var varmtvann i dusjen i en annen etasje jeg kunne brukt. Jeg sjekket inn ca.18.00 å da var det allerede lapp om at det ikke var varmt vann. Så den meldingen burde blitt sendt ut lenge før!

Mijn overnachting in het guesthouse beviel goed. Het guesthouse ligt in het stadje, waardoor het makkelijk te bereiken is als je met de trein reist. De eenpersoonskamer was prima; groot genoeg en mooi schoon. Ik had van tevoren gevraagd of ik beddengoed kon huren en dit lag al voor me klaar. Er zijn twee badkamers en toiletten, dus ik hoefde zelden te wachten.
