− On the first night of my stay, another group was booked into this room, so I ended up in a spare bed. The discount was low, and I later found out that the owner had charged a different price (almost 1000 inr more) than on booking.com. I needed one more night (it was already a room one class lower), but the price was calculated from the increased one. Unfortunately, I had to arrive early in the morning and there was no time to correct it.

− Hospitality in general was very bad. No towels or toiletries at the place. No response from the homestay owner. Just complaining how much he would have made if not booked online.

− I booked my stay 10 days before my trip. Immediately after the booking, I received a call from the property owner asking for a 30% advance payment. I paid it without any concern because I was definitely planning to stay there, so paying in advance was not an issue for me. However, when I arrived on the day of my stay, I was shocked to learn that my booking had been cancelled and given to someone else without any prior confirmation or notice. That day, I had already travelled from Kaza to the hotel and had been driving continuously for around 9 hours. Including sightseeing stops, the total travel time was approximately 12 hours. Because of the owner’s irresponsible behaviour, I had to travel an additional 4 hours with my family, including two small kids, just to find another place to rest. We struggled a lot because almost every hotel in the area was fully booked. What made the situation even worse was that the owner blamed me for not “confirming” the stay, which made absolutely no sense since I had already booked the property and paid the advance amount he requested. This was honestly one of the worst experiences I have ever had while travelling. On top of everything, there was no proper way to contact Booking.com for immediate support at that time.

8.0Lovely home stay, my son travelled from chandigarh, the homestay owner picked him up from reckong peo bus stand and dropped him next morning so he could board the bus to kaza, lovely food, absolutely recommend
