Exceptional place, the peace, the views, the fire pit, the milky way ... absolutely amazing If you have a clear night, stay up, lay on the decking and lose yourself in the milky way Definitely get a fire pack, the fire pit is great while waiting for the stars to come out fully

The Safe Haven

Me and the partner took the dog - all three of us didn't want to leave! We had to drag the dog back to the car on the day of leaving. It really is beautiful, so relaxing, perfect place to spend time together, have a BBQ, the fire on - amazing, just like out of a film or a book. The town is close too. It's perfect for a break. Ohhh and the bed! So comfortable!

We had a wonderful stay at this brilliant shepherd's hut. Surprised at how roomy and well equipped it was. Loved the remote and private setting and beautiful views. Very much enjoyed the outdoor decking area and fire pit as well as the cosy interior. We travelled with our dog who loved being able to roam around safely because of the perimeter fence.

Hut as stated is in its own meadow and isolated - like you in a meadow on a hill with great views (and no phone signal). Very cool to ‘get away from it all’… It is well kept, furnished, comfortable and very cosy with external loo and shower (shower runs on the hot side). Great external area with outdoor stoves, bbq and fire bowl. There are good pubs nearby with sandy beaches a short drive away near Bude or up towards Bideford. You can walk directly to Speke’s Mill beach / waterfall / costal path etc from the Hut for more rugged terrain. If you have dogs they will absolutely love the area and adventure. I did too!
