− Lodge in a state of disrepair or currently undergoing maintenance. I feel we could have had a better unit as we were the only ones there. Random people coming onto property fishing and begging.

− Internet can be on and off, also make sure you call the owner in advance and ask proper directions . Booking directions (at the time of writing this review) are completely wrong and takes u to a different lodge in different part the mountain trough a very bad rough road.
An experience - really beautiful surroundings, strange, interesting, friendly people and animals.
7.0The location is magnificent- overlooking a serene lake shadowed by the Drakensberg mountains. Caught a glimpse of Crested Cranes. Could take boats out on the lake, swim in the swimming pool with the village kids, play pool in the night listening to music dj'd by Ken using his impressive sound system. Décor totally original, wild and unexpected - medieval theme, knights everywhere, original artworks, Oh and ten gorgeous rescue dogs. Also some interesting people very keen to tell you about their lives and philosophies on life,
− We didn't realise that it was quite so far out of Estcourt on a dodgy road and although there is a restaurant, booking in advance is a good idea. The credit card machine had been stolen, so paying was a bit inconvenient. Maintenance is required.
