Fantastic stay in a great location, with nice food
8.0We absolutely loved the welcome Mark and Lisette gave us. The location was fantastic and breakfast and supper is really good. Mark gave us a Salsa workshop, which we really liked. They really did their best to make your stay unique. It is also very nice that you can rent a scooter right from the hostel.
− It would have been nice if there would have been a small fridge to keep drinks cool and store some water overnight if you leave early in the morning.

10.0Learned this was one of the original hostels on Ometepe. Breakfasts and dinners were freshly prepared with local ingredients. Their dogs and cats were very nice to spend time with. The hosts can lease scooters and deliver them for competitive prices. Communication with host prior to and during stay was excellent.
− Located on the main road so there was vehicle noise during the day but not at night. Evenings were peaceful.

9.0The food was fresh and delicious at a good price. We watched the hosts roast and grind the coffee fresh and it tasted wonderful. The host family and their pets were all friendly. The rooms were very clean and the bathroom situation adequate. They can communicate with customers in English, Spanish, Dutch, and German!
− The inside of the rooms could use a coat of paint, but it's a work in progress that the host family is obviously making continual improvements on.
