10.0Lovely hostel right in the centre of town. Macondo has really comfortable rooms and the shared spaces are spotless. Shaun and the team are super attentive, they helped us book all our excursions and even helped us with our onward travel plans after some disruptions due to road blocks in the north. There are also a few organised social activities on in the week like Football and Tejo which was a nice addition to our stay. Would highly recommend

10.0I came to San Gil specifically to go rafting and the team at Macondo were fantastic. They helped organise everything, with regular updates, they even lent me a pair of old shoes to use in the river. In between rafting and sightseeing trips, the hostel was a fabulous base in San Gil. I met some great people, the garden is beautiful, and the hammocks are perfect for a lazy afternoon.
