Great location in Lagos with a lovely courtyard and helpful luggage storage!

Overall, it was a great stay. We really liked the location in Lagos and enjoyed our room. It also has a spacious courtyard/garden area, which was a nice bonus.

− Honestly, there was nothing I disliked. I stayed for just one night and it was completely sufficient. Check-in was exactly at 14:00, but even though we arrived early, they kindly let us leave our luggage, which was very helpful.

− You can hear everything at night...even though it was a quiet area, you can here people walking around in the hostel etc very easily

La ubicación es excelente. Muy cerca del centro pero en una calle tranquila. Tiene un lindo jardín en la entrada y cocina limpia y con suficiente espacio en la nevera. Me gustó que los baños y duchas fuesen individuales.

One Staff Member Ruined an Otherwise Wonderful Stay

Most of the staff were genuinely kind, welcoming, and helpful. Their friendliness made us feel comfortable throughout our stay. The hostel is also in a convenient location for exploring Lagos. Until the morning of our checkout, we had a very positive impression of this place. The kindness of the staff made us overlook the room’s shortcomings and simply think of it as cozy and comfortable.

− Unfortunately, our experience on the morning of checkout completely changed our impression of this hostel. At around 8 a.m., I politely asked the receptionist, “Is there a place where I can throw away leftover food?” We had some noodles, rice, and broth left after breakfast. In South Korea, food waste disposal rules are very strict, and disposing of food incorrectly can cause problems. Because every country has different rules, I simply wanted to make sure I disposed of it properly before throwing it away. Instead of simply answering my question, the receptionist repeatedly responded in an irritated and dismissive manner, making me feel as though I was asking something foolish. The issue was not her explanation of how to dispose of the food, but the way she spoke to me and treated me. The previous evening, another staff member had kindly offered to call a taxi for us because the route to the bus terminal is uphill with many stairs, and we expected Uber might not accept such a short trip. However, after being treated this way, we felt so uncomfortable asking the same receptionist for help that we gave up. As expected, Uber was unavailable, and we had to drag our heavy suitcases all the way to the bus terminal ourselves. Even when my husband returned the key at checkout, she did not say goodbye or even offer a basic farewell. What makes this especially disappointing is that every other staff member we met was wonderful. Before this happened, the staff’s kindness made us overlook the room’s shortcomings. The private room was too small to fully open two suitcases, water leaked from the shower door, and the room was quite dark because we had to keep the blinds closed during the day for privacy. Despite all of that, we had still considered this a pleasant stay because of the excellent staff. Sadly, one staff member’s attitude on our final morning changed all of those positive memories into a disappointing ending.
