− As a remote part of the hotel someway distant as a self contained villa,the kitchen lacked many basic amenities and aids to cooking. Eg kitchen paper roll, decent knife, basics like salt & pepper etc. At the high price of the Villa you should be able to expect something more.

Quiet & private villa in Cocles!

This was our second time staying at Lomas del Caribe, and we’ll definitely be coming back! The combination of a private pool surrounded by lush jungle while being just minutes away from some of the most breathtaking beaches on Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast is unbeatable. We traveled with my 94-year-old grandpa, and he loved the convenience of having a pool right outside without needing to walk far. The villa’s kitchen is fully equipped, making it easy to prepare meals, and the pool is cleaned daily, ensuring a pristine and refreshing experience. The peaceful atmosphere, the sound of monkeys in the trees, and the sight of parrots flying by made the stay even more magical. Lomas del Caribe truly offers the perfect balance of comfort and nature!

− It's important to note that Lomas del Caribe is not on the main road, so getting around without a car can be tricky. Also, check-in takes place at another property first, so plan accordingly. We highly recommend renting a 4x4—it’s not a must, as the roads are generally in good condition, but if it rains, it’s definitely the safer option.

Love the privacy, staff was efficient and helpful, great unit for a family. Surrounded by wildlife all hours of the day.

− Paid $3500 for a two week stay and made me pay $10 for more drinking water. This is after I’m told at check in that I can have more because of the length of the stay. Of course when you call reception you talk to a different employee who made no such arrangement and charges you for it. Minor annoyance but only because you pay so much for the stay.

Private pool was cool. Very private. Has bedroom A/C (that was vibrating noisy). Patio was very nice in the mornings.

− Tap water smelled a bit like sewage. Floors sound like an old sailing ship. Supplied drinking water doesn't taste/smell drinkable. No hairdryer. Dirty floors. You could count the bedsprings. Very narrow/ blind roads for access. For the cost you don't expect to see through the roof. Pretty cool for a low budget, but it was NOT cheap.
