Location and beds

− There as no wifi - in this day and age that’s quite a basic amenity, and not having it should be called out. I travelled with my family from the UK and having links to home whilst travelling is important. The TV didn’t work, we couldn’t get reliable free to air TV, it kept breaking up. There was was no guide to support getting Foxtel which apparently the house had - I have Foxtel at home and there was no getting this to work and no instructions or guides to help. The TV remote barely worked, needed batteries perhaps, who knows. The kitchen was dirty, the fridge was filthy and the floor was sticky (see attached photos). The carpet hadn’t been vacuumed and the outdoor furniture was breaking up from weather damage and was covered in spiders. The flush in the downstairs toilet was broken - it just kept water pouring through all night. I had about 5 emails/texts about rules for bed time and the curfew time - on a weekend break with my elderly parents from the UK and sister and it was so unnecessary and felt threatening. Also numerous reminders about how clean you were expected to leave the place but it was filthy when we got here. The water wasn’t hot unless you found the button in the cupboard - again no guide but plenty of posters about not making noise after 10pm. I have stayed at cypress lakes twice before and it was lovely so was confident it would be great - the villa was very tired and barely any decor, the bathrooms were mouldy. I wouldn’t mind the tired decor (although the pictures on Booking.com were NOT reflective) if it was clean, but everything was dirty except the bed linen. Ironically our check in time was delayed and we changed our plans for the day, and the delay was due to the cleaners running behind. It was hard to tell they had even cleaned anything (see attached photos). I understand that there are probably groups of people who stay here who do ruin it for everyone requiring all the reinforcement.

Location value for money and facilities available to us.

− Only 3 outdoor chairs when 4 people stayed, 1 was broken. TV speaker was on its way out, reported that on day 2. Didn't hear anything back about it.

Nice golf course, good facilities and close to all of the wineries
