Good location and clean

A hidden gem 5 minutes drive from the beach.

Was met at the property by a rep. Very easy. Beds are large and excellent. Location is 5 min drive from Vale do Lobo but far enough outside the resort to be away from the rest of the world. Good wifi. Excellent pool and poolside furniture. Excellent communication on whatsapp with the host company. Any issues were dealt with in moments via whatsapp.

− Bedding and towels only changed once in 9 nights. For the price, it should be daily. Property should come with better glassware and enough crockery to host guests for dinner. A bluetooth sound system would be a welcome addition.

The pool was lovely but not cleaned enough during our stay.

− When we arrived every time we went to use something it was broken, the bath plug, the dishwasher, the microwave, the toaster, the electric awning, two aircon units in the bedrooms, no umbrellas outside as advertised, the outdoor furniture is falling to bits with slats missing on the chairs making them very uncomfortable. There was an ant problem, we all had ants in our beds and got bitten all the time. The tone and manner when I complained to the management company were awful, I complained that the advert was completely different to what we arrived to in terms of no umbrellas and they told me it wasn’t their problem and don’t deal with issues such as ‘personal taste’. They brought a parasol for some shade but it was so flimsy it just kept flying out and breaking, and even hit my son in the head whilst he was playing. I couldn’t sit outside with my baby as there wasn’t anywhere shaded to sit and feed him. We also popped to the shops quickly to get my newborn son some medicine as he had a temperature and didn’t want the villa to be hot, I revived a shitty message asking why we left the aircon on whilst we were out! During our first two weeks it was like managing a renovation project! We had a maintenance man nearly every day trying to fix things, the dishwasher was replaced about 5 days later, and one aircon unit was replaced about a week later so we are trying to relax, babies trying to sleep and we have drilling and banging going on, these issues should have been sorted before our arrival. When I complained and asked for compensation they said they deal with that after departure. I have since emailed and heard nothing. We paid over £10,000 to stay here for the month and all the issues made it an incredibly stressful holiday.
