Wonderful property in the heart of Tuscany, maintained by friendly and passionate people

10.0

As a family of 5, we loved our 10 days at Villa Bellavista. The property is vast, secluded and calm. It is surrounded by nature and oversees a wonderful 360 panorama over the hills of Casentino. The house is made of 2 independent apartments fully furnished in a rustic style that reminds of old warm family homes. We also enjoyed the bbq and firepit as well as the traditional pizza oven! The property and the pool are well maintained by careful and warm hearted hosts who live in the nearby village. We already miss Ivo and his sister Novella! The location of the house is perfect to relax and a good starting point for hikes or visits of the Tuscan villages.

Could be 10…but cannot give it 10

Great location - acoustics if you are sleeping on the ground floor are not the best. There was a party on the other side one night, which went on until 4am…our bad luck, but great location for relaxing

Superb

Lovely house with even lovelier house keepers. Ivo and Novella were there for us whenever we had any issues.

Property is quite far from all the larger cities, so be prepared for driving if you want to do some sightseeing.

Restful holiday in peaceful rural location with beautiful scenery

7.0

We were a group of 8 adults Occupying the full property which is divided into two separate parts (3 bedrooms + kitchen upstairs; 2 bedrooms & kitchen below). The rural location, privacy and scenery and privacy of Bellavista is very special. The Villa apartments ( on two floors) have the original features of this very old, quaint farmhouse, spacious rooms and period furniture. Hearing church bells ring across the valley as they have for centuries is wonderful. The hosts, Annie & Ivo were very helpful and accommodated our requests for additional pillows and pool towels. The pool is small but adequate and cleaned/checked daily by Ivo. Great location from where to explore true Tuscany.

While accepting the antique style of the villa, more attention should be given to cleaning between rentals . we found previous tenants’ rubbish under beds and furniture. Also we had to wash the kitchen ware eg cups, cutlery before use and neither apartment had a full set of kitchen utensils, spoons etc. Some additional signage along the very bumpy lane leading to the house would be helpful. Area around house not suitable for young children or anyone with mobility issues.

Very good

8.0

The host went out of her way when we had issues getting to the property on the first day. The house was well fitted and the views were stunning. The hosts were really lovely, they left us food for the first day when we arrived and brought us some of their produce throughout the week to eat. The house felt very historic.

It could have been improved if there were some air conditioning as the house did get very hot throughout the day. Some of the kitchen utensils and facilities were less than ideal.
