A wonderful place for family vacation in Crete!

We stayed at Villa Catani with a big family group (15 people, including 4 kids) and it was perfect! The villa is spacious, great for children, and in a really nice location — in a quiet area and just a short drive to beautiful beaches and Chania. We even had a small wedding party there which turned out amazing. The host, Kostas, was super helpful, kind, and always willing to arrange or assist with anything we needed. Highly recommended for families or anyone looking for a special place to stay in Crete!

Villa molto ampia, sia le stanze che gli spazi comuni. Cucina completa di tutti gli accessori e casa dotata di tutti i comfort necessari per il soggiorno. Gli spazi esterni offrono una bellissima visuale. Letti comodi. La biancheria da letto e da bagno nuova e pulita. Piscina non troppo grande ma funzionale e pulita. Host gentile e disponibile.

we were an extended family of 11, looking for a holiday home with soul. We found that in abundance at Villa Catani, which is not only a masterpiece in architecture and construction, but in connectivity and social interaction as well. The multiple eating and lounging areas enabled us to hang out in clusters and mix it up. The open spaces and eye contact between floors provided a sense of togetherness. The kitchen was big enough that everyone could be part of meal preparation. The character of this Villa made our one-week stay magical! Kostas and Katherina were warm and responsive, we were welcomed on our arrival with information, recommendations, and spinach pastries baking in the oven. The rooms were spacious, the décor eclectic, the artwork beautiful. It all came together to provide us with the perfect setting to relax, enjoy our time together and make happy memories.

Our 3 generation family of 10 had a wonderful stay at Villa Catani. Hosts Kostas and Katerina are lovely and live in a separate home right behind Villa Catani. They were on site to greet us and provided welcome hot pastries, melons and cold beverages and during our visit, dropped off home made jam, honey, juice and figs. So special! They were quick to respond to any questions. The villa is spacious with 6 large bedrooms including 3 on the top level ( 3 queen bed rooms), one with 2 singles on the main floor where the living and kitchen space are, and 2 large bedrooms on the lowest ground level. These 2 lower ground floor rooms are like a separate suite with two ensuite bathrooms and one bedroom with queen and bunks and the other bedroom with 2 twins, bunks and a futon type couch. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils coffee and seasonings, the living area is large and spacious and opens onto 4 large patio areas with lots of room for everyone to spread out, all with beautiful views over the olive groves and to the sea. The dishwasher and clothes washer both worked well. We also loved the cicadas chirping away in the olive groves, roosters, ducks, chickens and of course the visits from the family dog Zhou Zhou and cats. It felt so homelike. The pool is a good size and got lots of use by our family. Housekeepers come in quickly to change linen, towels and to clean. There is a small elevator and much of the house is accessible for wheelchair. Wifi worked well with the exception of a couple times when connections didn't work for short times. Location is great for access to local beaches with 10 minute drive (could walk but it is downhill on a road without pedestrian walkway). We had cars so driving to beaches or local supermarkets was easy (within 10 minutes). 1.5 hours to drive to south coast locations and good access to the highway for exploring other areas of Crete. Villa Catani was great for our family vacation!
