10.0Everything!! Perfect location: it is beautifully situated with a view of the lake from the terraces; the chalets are set in the forest; the Mzenene river and Isimangaliso wetlands nearby. The food is excellent, really good with attention to detail; the wine list prices very fair. Above all, the staff made our stay unforgettable. Rebecca Dube at reception, Skhona who makes a mean Margarita, Nellie and the lady chefs were great. And Ockert, whose knowledge of birds and all things botanical and more, was a mine of information. Nothing was too much trouble! And little Adolf, the pooch, is a delight. Well done Gavin, Ockert and to all at Hluhluwe River Lodge!!

Fabulous staff makes this placement
8.0Fabulous setting, lovely views, the staff were seriously incredible and the food was delicious. The staff really really tried to make sure you were comfortable and had everything.
− The beds, bedding and towels were average. Bathrooms had recently been renovated looks like, the bedrooms could use a refresh.

9.0We had breakfast and supper throughout our stay and the food was superb. Manager and Operations manager are hands on. The staff knew how to advise us which routes to take our game drives. Fabulous time was had by our party of 8.
