Disappointing Stay – Not As Advertised
3.0Location is good. The owners were kind and informative.
− This is just a heads-up for those who expect a decent, charming, and cosy stay – this place unfortunately did not meet those expectations at all. The cottage was poorly maintained, with visible stains and an overall lack of cleanliness. There were unpleasant smells coming from the fridge, which was in an unacceptable state of hygiene. The bed sheets and seat cushions had stains on them. After a closer inspection of the property, our group decided to leave and find alternative accommodation. We simply didn’t feel we could stay there. I’ve been using Booking.com for over 14 years, and this is the first time my experience felt completely out of line with the listing’s rating. The current score of 9 and the label “superb” are very misleading and do not reflect the actual condition of the property. Based on our experience, I would rate this stay well below average.
