Wir hatten unerwartet das grösste Zelt bekommen, das wirklich sehr schön war. Die Aussentoilette / Dusche ohne Dach war grandios - nachts konnte man die Sterne bewundern und tags konnte man sich auf der Toilette sonnen :) Trotz Ramadan wurden wir mittags unerwartet mit Datteln, Orangen, Bananen, Donuts, Pepsi, Kaffee, Omanitee und Wasser versorgt. Empfangen wurden wir ebenfalls sehr herzlich mit Datteln, Kaffee und Tee. Unser Auto haben wir am Treffpunkt / Büro abgestellt und wurden dann auf vorherige Bestellung von dort abgeholt und in die Wüste gebracht und auch wieder dort abgeholt (Kosten einmalig 20 OMR). Wir waren 2 Nächte dort, aber eine dritte Nacht wäre noch besser gewesen. Unbedingt etwas zu lesen mitnehmen, da der Handyempfang sehr schlecht ist - Entschleunigung ist angesagt!

Dépaysant. Grands espaces de dunes. Tentes spacieuses. Le petit personnel est souriant.

− Les camps sont assez proches et on entend le bruit des musiques le soir. L'accès est difficile et mal indiqué. Le gérant n'est pas d'une grande aide, voire absent. Ses explications sont approximatives, voire inexistantes. Tout se monnaye. Les repas sont sommaires. A faire une fois, pas plus.

Schönes Camp

Sehr schönes Zelt in der Wahiba Wüste mit einem sehr freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Mitarbeiter im Camp. Wir waren die einzigen Gäste an diesem Abend. Insgesamt gibt es im Camp 9 Zelte, damit ist es immer noch sehr familiär.

− Wir hatten eine Tour für den nächsten Morgen gebucht. Leider wurde der Guide in ein anderes Camp bestellt und wir haben fast eine Stunde auf ihn gewartet. Den Besitzer des Camps hat es nicht interessiert. Zumindest kam kein Wort des Bedauerns oder ähnliches. Die als zweistündige Beduinen-Tour hat dann auch keine Stunde gedauert. Lag wohl daran, dass wir auch keine Beduinen gesehen haben ... Das Camp liegt nicht sehr weit in der Wüste und man hört manchmal Autos auf der vorbei führenden Straße.

Opravdu krásný zážitek, na který budeme dlouho vzpomínat.

Krásné místo v poušti, kam nás zavezl místní SUV taxík, takže nám na celou dovolenou stačila i naše půjčená Toyota Corolla a nebylo potřeba řešit 4x4. Auto jsme nechali u kanceláře kempu na kraji pouště a druhý den nás tam opět vysadil. Vybavené pouštní stany, tvrdá, ale pohodlná postel s teplou peřinou, takže v noci nikomu nebyla zima, ačkoliv venku se citelně ochladilo a foukal prudký studený vítr. Koupelna se záchodem je hned vedle každého stanu pěkně pod širým nebem. Večeře rozváží jeepem po kempech před sedmou hodinou, takže přesně v sedm jsme měli naservírováno spoustu jídla v jídelně. Po večeři nám pán rozdělal oheň a přinesl čaj. Nebýt větru, určitě bychom vydrželi sedět venku déle, svítil velký měsíc a bylo krásně. Navíc jsme byli v kempu sami a bylo to příjemně romantické.

− Být sám v kempu je zároveň i nevýhoda, protože trochu chyběla společná zábava, povídání, sdílení zážitků... Kempů je v okolí víc, zdá se, že rostou velmi rychle a tak člověk trochu ztrácí ten pocit "jsme tu uprostřed pouště". Měsíc svítil jak lampička a zapadal až ve dvě v noci, takže hvězdy jsme neviděli.

The host Itam (sorry if I misspell your name) was nice and calm young man, who welcomed us, the only camp guests, not less hospitable that he could do if the camp was fully booked. The view from the tent over the sunset in the desert is magnificent (and it should be the same from every tent in the camp). Walking in the dunes in the evening and in the morning are highly recommended. The food wasn't the best in the trip, but quite passable.

− I must have had too big expectations from the desert camp being the remote silent place. The only thing that was as expected, was no mobile coverage - but the place was neither as silent as I wished (there was some music audible from behind the dunes until 10pm or so), nor clear skied - besides for and full moon, which are a force of nature, my expectations were ruined by a light pollution from the nearby cities that came exactly to the only corner that wasn't affected by fog or moonlight.

− tout d'abord de grandes difficultés pour trouver l'endroit exact du camp. le responsable injoignable pendant de longues heures. nous avons du nous débrouiller pour trouver des locaux pour nous amener au camp. 1er ensablement de la voiture ... désemblament payant. accueil avec thé et dattes ok. les tentes ne correspondaient pas aux photos de booking . douche à l'eau froide et wc indépendant de la tente. lits inconfortables. diner très très moyen ambiance très froide et accueil indifférent du responsable. le lendemain pour repartir personne pour nous guider à la route principale qui se trouvait à 4 km dans le désert. Re ensablement. re paiement pour se faire désensabler par un personnel du camp. on a payé plus cher de désensablement que d'hébergement et demi pension. pas de responsable à notre départ, à fuir
