Exterior of building looks shabby and needs painting. Room ok. Stairs to room a challenge for elder

We would come back again.
8.0We only had breakfast which was ok. Croissants were rather stale (hard and shattered when you bit into them). Staff, without exception, were excellent.
− Food was good but not great. Is there a restaurant menu as we couldn't find it.

− The white Lion Breakfast was rubbish. Being in a group of six after the order was taken we waiting along time before it served up, staff did apologise. You needed a chainsaw to cut the toast and the black pudding was so hard l thought l was danger of breaking my teeth.
