8.0The hotel was very welcoming, the staff very friendly. It was also very clean. I was made guest of the day which came with benefits and was a very nice touch.
− The breakfast was adequate but there could have been more choice. The hotel was at the top of a hill but that wasn’t a problem as it was in a very good location.
Perfect location for our stay.
10.0Great location and a quick walk down the hill takes you right into the town centre. To the side of the hotel is the path to take you up to the Cow and Calf rocks. Fantastic view from there. Lovely friendly reception staff. We arrived half an hour early and our room was ready. Excellent sized room..... Standard double........ Very clean and comfy. Although no air conditioning, a fan was provided. Love the fact that there was a safe in room too. Plenty of parking too. Perfect location for our two night stay and we will definitely book here again next time we visit Ilkley.
− Nothing to dislike. Yes there may be a bit of paint required here and there - but you are stopping in a beautiful old house.

− Not a problem with hotel or staff but a group of young women spoilt the ambience in the brasserie every morning at breakfasts. Loud - shouting and laughing across the room at each other no respect for other residents.⁰
